  1. Sango Elementary Monday, September 17, 2012 Reading This week our story is “Exploding Ants.” Vocabulary words are: enables, scarce, specialize, critical, mucus, sterile. The skills we will focus on are summarizing text and fantasy/reality. Test Friday. Language Arts We will continue our unit of study on nouns. We will learn about singular/plural and the correct capitalization of nouns. There will be an assessment on Thursday. Math We will be using real world data about bats to solve problems and create graphs. There will be a test on Friday. Science We will be continuing our STEM challenge. We are creating public interest to save the bat population from White Nose Syndrome. There will be a test on Wednesday. Social Studies This week we will be learning about the 1st, 13th, 14th, 15th and 19th Amendments to the Constitution. There will be a quiz over these on Friday. • JUST A FEW REMINDERS… • Please remember to pay Student Fees if you haven’t already done so. They are $24.00. • September 18th is PICTURE DAY! Please don’t wear green. • September 19th- Return 1st Weekly Fitness Portfolio in Weekly Work folder. • September 20th – Ident-A-Kid • September 21st is an early release day.
