  2. Tiedon hierarkia • Bitti (joko 0 tai 1) ns., 2-järjestelmä • 7-8 bittiä = 1 tavu = (byte),lyhennetään 1 t = 1b • 1 tavu = 1 merkki eli kirjain, numero tai jokin muu erikoismerkki • 1024 tavua = 1 Kilotavua, 1 Kt • (Normaalisti 1 kilo = 1000, miksi nyt 1024?)

  3. Tiedon hierarkia (jatkoa) • 1024 Kilotavua = 1 Megatavua, 1 Mt • 1024 Megatavua = 1 Gigatavua, 1 Gt • 1024 Gigatavua = 1 Teratavua, 1 Tt

  4. Tehtävä • Kirjoitat A4:lle 60 riviä ja kullekin riville 50 merkkiä. Kuinka paljon sivuja mahtuu 1,44 Mt:n disketille?

  5. Tiedosto (file) • Kun asiakirja tallennetaan disketille tai kiintolevylle, niin tällöin annetaan asiakirjalle nimi eli tiedostonimi • Tiedoston nimeämissäännöt • Windowsin varatut tarkentimet

  6. Tietue (Record) • esimerkiksi yhden oppilaan tiedot (Nimi, syntymäaika, kotikunta, luokka jne)

  7. Tietotaulu (Table) • joukko koulun oppilaita (eri luokilta)

  8. Tietokanta (Database) • esimerkiksi joukko asiakastietotaulun, myyntitapahtumataulun ja tuotetaulun muodostelma kokonaisuus (yhdessä ostostapahtumassa on tietoja kustakin taulusta)
