  2. Agenda • MATLAB update • JMP codes • Microsoft • Forefront • SCCM • Windows 7 SP1 • Secunia • LANDesk

MATLAB Update • MATLAB was moved to entirely downloadable in mid-January • Decrease in January walk-in customers for SLS versus last year: 62% • Pending February numbers • The success of MATLAB indicates that additional packages will show greater improvements • SPSS, Mathematica will be moved next

  4. Software Renewals/Upgrades • JMP • Codes received, sent to all customers with active incidents • Downloads on OSU SLS updated with most recent SID’s • JMP Pro (x64 version) set for release: in final testing • Anyone who would like to test JMP Pro can request a testing link

  5. Microsoft News • The newest version of Forefront is on OSU SLS • Windows 7 SP1 Enterprise 32-bit and 64-bit is currently uploading to OSU SLS • Expect to see links tomorrow or Wednesday • SCCM Presentation at the Digital Union • March 8, 2011: 1-3 PM, 070 SEL • https://registration.it.ohio-state.edu/node/291

  6. Secunia • Offered $100,000 to cover the entire campus (pricing takes into account currents spend) • Medical Center is committed • Recommendation from OCIO Security to provide this • Most funding has been secured • Still, we are seeking additional funding

  7. LANDesk • Recommendation from OCIO Security to obtain one University price • Departments will purchase on their own • $4.37/FTE is a current target • Derived from Keith Stewart’s current deal • Key items we are looking at: • Pricing • Longevity of the agreement • Inclusion of all campuses • FTE vs. Macine Pricing
