Explaining the ADDIE model • It is a model used by instructional designers and trainers. It’s a support tool and also an instructional tool to accomplish the tasks. The ADDIE model consists of five phases.
What does ADDIE stand for? • A – analysis • D – design • D – development • I – implementation • E - evaluation
Analysis Phase • This is where the designer figures out the problem. The goal, learning environment, and objectives are considered during this phase.
Design Phase • In this phase, the plan should be identified and also, the procedures. Then the design must be applied.
Development Phase • During this phase, the materials are used to create a model and the project should be reviewed and revised.
Implementation Phase • This phase consists of testing the project. This prepares learners to be trained and the designers to study the effectiveness.
Evaluation Phase • During the evaluation phase, this is the where all the phases are evaluated to see if the project has accomplished it’s objectives.
In Conclusion • These phases are repeated and the designer and trainer can see if improvements are needed. The outcome of each phase is essential for the next phase.
