BUDGET UPDATE and ECONOMIC OUTLOOK Federal Budget –Smith Lever Funds cuts projected at 5% cut ; KY earmarks eliminated State Budget (2012) – 1% Cut University of KY Budget – 2.2% Cut *With 2% Cuts in 4 Years = 12% Loss UKTuition Increase –6% Increase *Extension and the Experiment Stations are are considered “not generating tuition”

BUDGET UPDATE and ECONOMIC OUTLOOK Proposed Raises (Must be BOT Approved) Support Staff - 3% suggested maximum Agents – Flat Rate Bases on Merit (3% Pool) 5 Rating: $1430 (82) 4 Rating: $1330 (198) 3 & NR Rating: $1080 (107) 2 & 1 Ratings: -0- *Agents must have started before January 29th Increased Vacancies, no State hires rest of 2011 Engage Key Leaders in Communicating
